Professional Experience

Brian is a registered patent attorney of Shumaker & Sieffert. His practice includes drafting and prosecution of patent applications, both in the US and abroad. Brian has drafted and prosecuted patent applications covering a wide variety of computer- and software-related technologies, including data compression, computer networks, computer security, databases, operating systems, and compilers and interpreters. Brian also drafts non-infringement and invalidity opinions, reexamination requests, and performs legal research and writing. During law school, Brian was a law clerk at the firm.
