Professional Experience
Dan is an attorney specializing in patent preparation and prosecution matters, primarily with experience in medical devices and mechanical technologies. During law school, Dan served as a research assistant performing research in the areas of patent law and empirical legal studies. Dan also served as a managing editor for the Iowa Law Review and was co-president of the Iowa Intellectual Property Law Society. Dan received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence in Patent Law and the Jurisprudence Award for Academic Excellence in Privacy Law & Technology during law school.
Before joining Shumaker & Sieffert as an associate in 2022, Dan worked for the firm as a law clerk.
Prior to attending law school, Dan worked as an engineer at Boston Scientific Corporation.
