Professional Experience

Dogan Ervin is an associate focusing on patent preparation and prosecution. He specializes in electrical and software technologies. Dogan is from Odessa, Texas, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin (UTPB). Dogan then worked as a researcher for UTPB’s electrical engineering department, where he conducted graduate-level research regarding artificial intelligence, parallel computation, and shared memory utilization.

After obtaining his Master of Business Administration degree, Dogan attended Baylor Law School. During law school, Dogan acted as Student Coordinator for Baylor’s IP legal clinic. He also interned for the Honorable Alan D Albright in the busiest patent venue in the Nation. Prior to joining Shumaker & Sieffert, Dogan worked as a litigation associate for a Los Angeles-based law firm. In this role, Dogan handled a wide array of patent drafting, prosecution, and litigation matters.
