Professional Experience

Prior to law school, Jacob studied Aerospace Engineering at the University of Tennessee, where he graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering. While in undergraduate school, Jacob conducted research into novel solid rocket propellants, hypersonic flight, and ceramic additive manufacturing. At the University of Tennessee Winston College of Law, Jacob focused his studies on Intellectual Property Law, with a focus on Patent Law and Patent Prosecution. During his time in law school, Jacob worked as a student attorney with the University of Tennessee Research Foundation, a non-profit technology transfer organization devoted to the patent preparation, prosecution, and commercialization of inventions created at the University of Tennessee. Jacob now works in patent preparation in prosecution, where he specializes in mechanical and aerospace engineering.

Jacob is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, and is now based in the Twin Cities. Outside of the office, he enjoys watching football, playing tennis, golfing, and rock climbing
