Professional Experience

Jennifer is a registered patent attorney and Shareholder whose practice focuses on the areas of software, communications, and electronics.

Jennifer has over 20 years of experience with drafting patent applications, patent prosecution before the USPTO, prior art searches, freedom-to-operate reviews, IP due diligence reviews, patent litigation support, and non-infringement and invalidity opinions. Jennifer has facilitated patent mining and ideation sessions for clients working to actively grow their patent portfolios, and has helped clients design and institute internal patent programs, including creating patent training programs for engineers and management.

Jennifer worked on secondment at Juniper Networks, Inc. as Interim Patent Counsel in 2012 and 2020, leading patent review committee meetings, patent mining, and patent training sessions.

Jennifer has been a regular speaker at the AIPLA’s annual Patent Prosecution Boot Camp since 2018, on the topic of “Responding to 101 and 112 Rejections,” and previously served as Chair of the AIPLA Online Programs committee. Jennifer is also a Board member for the Twin Cities Chapter of ChIPs.
