Shumaker & Sieffert is proud to co-sponsor a team of swimmers in the Swim 24Challenge, a 24-hour swim and fundraiser designed to combat childhood drowning in San Diego. According to the Center for Disease Control, drowning is the #2 cause of accidental death among all children in the U.S., and the #1 leading cause of accidental death among minority children. Drowning is 100% preventable by teaching a child to swim. But many families in the San Diego community simply cannot afford to teach their kids to swim. The Swim 24Challenge will raise funds to pay for swim lessons for children who otherwise could not afford them.
