Shumaker & Sieffert Ranked Among Top 10 Firms at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board

In a recent article identifying firms that “perform quite exceptionally” at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Juristat ranked Shumaker & Sieffert 4^th in a list of 10 firms with the highest PTAB win rates. 

The article explains that a PTAB win occurs when the patent examiner is reversed or is affirmed in part. Although the average appeal results in a PTAB win only 43.3% of the time, appeals pursued by Shumaker & Sieffert attorneys have an overall PTAB win rate of 63% during the 5-year period reviewed.
